Utah Vacation

We had a great time on our vacation to Utah. We decided to leave on Thursday night and stay in Flagstaff so we could wake up the next morning and head to the Grand Canyon, I'm so glad we did it was well worth it! The girls loved it. Then we headed to St. George and stayed with my Auntie Mary and got to visit with my cousin Diane and her kids, before we left we meet up with Bryant's good friend from college Erin and his family. Then it was off to my sisters in Northern Utah up near Ogden. On our way we stopped by BYU and had some ice cream at the creamery, showed the girls a little bit of the campus, they weren't as interested as we were but oh well. We had a great time at my sisters in Mountain Green, Sunday we went to church and then went and visited my Grandma who recently moved into an assisted living apartment. Grandma is doing well and seems to be enjoying her new home. Many years ago she had each grand child choose something that we would like when she would no longer be in her home or alive I choose a table and chairs and hutch set that she enjoyed for more than over 50 years. Well the time came for me to have it so we rented a U-haul and brought it back with us to Arizona, my in-laws have it in their home right now, because I do not have a place for it right now, but I know it's in really good hands with them for now. (Maybe someday I'll have a larger home and place for it to go) Some of the highlights of our trip was a hike that Bryant and my brother-in-law took the kids on, they hiked up to a "U" on the mountain in south Ogden. We also took all of the kids on the polar express in Heber. We had family pictures taken, went and saw the Blind Side highly recommend that movie loved it! We tried to go skiing but there wasn't enough snow, maybe next time! But the girls did get to see snow fall. Meet up with really good friends from college for lunch and had a blast. Well that's our trip in a nut shell, hope your Thanksgiving was great as well! Now it's on to Christmas, guess I need to start shopping!!

It's a little early but...

So we went to the mall Monday night and guess who is already there, that's right Santa!! We didn't go to the mall to see Santa, I had to do some other things, but there he was NO line and 4 little girls with big eyes staring him down (I had my friends daughter with us) So of course we had to say hello and for some reason I happened to have my camera, so I got some cute pics. I'll have to say it was a really fun, unexpected surprise and he was a great Santa.
Santa told Lauren to jump onto his lap and boy did she jump, it was so funny!

Lauren telling Santa what she wants for Christmas and her friend Savannah

Savannah, this is one of my best friends daughter, and we love her!! Savili her mom and my friend is from Samoa and for Christmas they are going to Samoa to visit family, I'm so excited for them.

Audrey, almost 10, wow time goes by way to fast! She still plays along though, and that's what I love!

And Kendall, oh this should be a fun Christmas for her, isn't 4 just the best age for Christmas, I think so!!

Well since it's not even thanksgiving yet, Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
